Synthétique 4.26.10 w/ DJ NITELINE

In Radio on April 27, 2010 at 3:45 am

DJ Niteline did a guest set on Synthétique, spinning the best of post-punk, cold and minimal wave.   We talked a bit about the resurgence of these genres and gave a ton of shout outs to the innovative Brooklyn-based bands involved.  The selection features a few unreleased goodies from friends, a track from Kevin’s upcoming label, and I threw in that No Fun Acid release to further rep the BK! Catch us and the regulars at the next Wierd or Pendu Disco events!

My friend Safety Scissors guest DJ’d last night, spinning italo, house, late disco. Matthew just moved to New York from San Francisco and has been DJing some fun art parties around town, so you can see him at Tandem this Saturday. Check out his production skills on the PJ Pooterhoots track from his label Proptronix. A Safety Scissors album is somewhere in the future…! His discography here.

Synthétique 4.5.10

In Radio on April 5, 2010 at 11:52 pm

Was in a funk all day after making music til 5AM the night before, so this became my weird italo-new-beat-ndw-mutant-industrial 80s show … the newer releases were 80s veterans (Baldelli, pictured above, Casco, Oppenheimer Analysis), re-edits (Bobbi’s Back is a Bob-a-Rela ’79 track), and then I’ve just been digging the Oni Ayhun.

Unfortunately this wasn’t recorded – mix is on the way this week when I next get a chance at some CDJs.  Thanks to the funny callers from Teaneck, I appreciate requests.  Check out the tracklist after the jump!
